Stopping at Beautiful.

I started this piece on a day that there was so much expectation from the world. Goodness haven't we had enough of that already. I have. In that spirit this painting began with a lot of scribbling and loose paint application. As it progressed there seemed to be more method there. I would start a line and if it wasn't "right" to me I just stopped. I picked up again somewhere else and kept painting in that way until I felt it was time to stop. There were no rules about it except that I stopped at beautiful. And I didn't cover up the "mistakes". No one can tell where they are anyways. And it feels like this style is a turning point of sorts that will shape what I do next.
