I began this painting at a collective arts evening in my community. We sat and listened to worship music and made art while listened for the voice of God in all of it. The music had such a "Finding Nemo" vibe that I couldn't help paint an under-the-sea swirl of colour. I started with loose lines and then pastel to add initial colour. It was bright blue and then aqua and teal, of course the yellow arrived and then the pink. It has a real feeling of "Coming Home" which has been real theme lately, a returning to an original design. There is a current of water moving this jelly fish along, and it's almost jubilant. It feels slow and maybe that's because the water itself if protecting it, it's enveloped. It's at the part of its journey though where the jelly fish needs to remember to be flexible and move where the water takes it. It's a reference to the Holy Spirit because we are safe with Him. He'll lead us in the way that we need to go. He takes care of us that way. We flourish with Him.
