Fall Down Love

Like almost all of my paintings, I don't know the end from the beginning. The shapes that in the final piece are not purposely done. They come together as a result of so many small decisions. A line here, a colour there. The process is all about the feels. It's spontaneous and often inspiration arrives near the end. In this case it was the final touches of red and white. The white and red circles are confetti. The two figures in the bottom left hand corner remind me of a bride and groom, all swoony in love, dancing at their wedding. It's almost as if he's dipping her. I love that. New life springs up from a love like that. A bridegroom has a love for his bride like that. Jesus has a love like that for us. We were the joy set before Him.
